Gold Medalist Michael Johnson Says Blacks Are Better Athletes Due To Slavery

African-American Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson, who set world records in track and field, stated blacks are better athletes due to slavery. Johnson stated during an interview in Britain, "All my life ... I believed I became an athlete through my own effort and determination, but it's impossible to think that being descended from slaves hasn't left an imprint through the generations. Difficult as it was to hear, slavery has benefited descendants like me ... I believe there is a superior athletic gene in us. Over the last few years, athletes of Afro-Caribbean and Afro-American descent have dominated athletics finals. It's a fact that hasn't been discussed openly before. It's a taboo subject in the States but it is what it is. Why shouldn't we discuss it?"

I've wondered about that myself. Many black-Americans and Afro-Caribbeans have excelled at athletics. One blog challenged Johnson's point by citing white American gold medalist swimmer, Michael Phelps, who dominated during the 2008 Olympics. I beg to differ. May I point to the evidence. Michael Phelps was caught smoking weed. So technically, that makes him a black man (LOL just teasing). That's right. We're claiming Phelps. He was hitting the weed like a rasta. You're Team Black now Phelps (wink).

One thing I know, regardless of what country you come from, if you see an African register for the long distance marathons, may as well withdraw (LOL). Africans dominate in this field, much like white people shut things down in gymnastics. So, who's to say who is best. One thing we all can agree on, the Olympics are a great time to come together as a world and put our differences aside.

Obama In Florida Hating On The Miami Heat Because The Chicago Bulls Lost The NBA Championships

President Barack Obama was in Miami yesterday, begging for money via soliciting campaign donations and resentfully congratulating the Miami Heat, hating that his favorite team, the Chicago Bulls, did not win the NBA championships. Deal with it.

Obama kept calling the Miami Heat "the Miami Heats" which he knows is incorrect, as he is a basketball fan and likes to pretend he can play like NBA legend Michael Jordan, who played for the Chicago Bulls. Regarding the Heat, you know you’re doing something right when even the president is hating on you.

Miami shouldn’t give him any money for calling them the Heats (LOL). What if people in Miami decided to be smart alecks and start calling the team "the Chicago Bullses" or "the Chicago Bull" or referring to their top star Derek Rose, as Derek Roses - not to mention, rather than saying Obama, stating Baracks Obamas. Two can play that game, pardon the pun (LOL).

Deion Sanders To Pay Wife Pilar Sanders $10,000 Per Month In Alimony Payments

A Texas judge has ordered NFL hall of famer, Deion Sanders, to pay his wife, Pilar Sanders, $10,000 per month in alimony payments and to cover her legal fees of $275,000. Sanders, however, comes out ahead, keeping his $5,000,000 mansion, its contents, vehicles, jewelry and financial investments.

The case turned against Pilar when she and a female friend physically attacked Deion in his bedroom, on the side of the property they shared during the divorce proceedings that are ongoing. As a result of the domestic violence attack, Pilar was ordered to leave the home and stay 500 feet away from Deion.

Forbes Rates Tim Tebow The Second Most Influential Person In American Sports

Forbes magazine has rated Christian football player, Tim Tebow, the second most influential athlete in the nation. Tebow took the nation by storm over the past year, with his clean cut image and prayerful lifestyle.

He even gave an Easter Sunday sermon at a local church. In a hypothetical poll of the person Americans would most like as President of the United States, Tebow beat all the candidates including incumbent, Barack Obama. Congrats to Tebow on his success.

Does "Basketball Wives" reality star, Evelyn Lozada need anger management. It appears so. The way she erupts at people reveals she is harboring a significant amount of anger and bitterness. Ditto for co-star Tami Roman. The Judiciary Report warned Roman needed to calm down and months later she had a mild heart attack.

Lozada and Roman have something in common, well, other than bedding the latter's husband, which also led to a terrible fight. They are both women whose partners were professional athletes with a penchant for cheating. Being in a relationship with a high profile, cheating man has made a number of women angry and bitter. But at the end of the day, one has to let that bitterness go. God prescribes it as a the way to forgiveness and healing.

The San Francisco Giants, for example, added days had game promotions for Christian, Jewish, and Mormon fans planned, according to USA Today, which didn’t sit well with Muslim fans of the team. Oakland A’s yarmulkes were handed out a Jewish Heritage Night that team held. The rise of new New York Jet Tim Tebow and the New York Knicks’ Jeremy Lin, two very devout Christians (and pals, apparently), has drawn attention to how religion and professional sports mix.

Rugby Union and Rugby Football

Rugby union, often simply referred to as rugby, is a full contact team sport which originated in England in the early 19th century. One of the two codes of rugby football, it is based on running with the ball in hand. It is played with an oval-shaped ball on a field up to 100 metres (330 ft) long and 70 metres (230 ft) wide with H-shaped goal posts on each goal line.

Rugby football is a style of football named after Rugby School in the United Kingdom. It is seen most prominently in two current sports, rugby league and rugby union.

William Webb Ellis is often credited with the invention of running with the ball in hand in 1823 at Rugby School when he allegedly caught the ball while playing football and ran towards the opposition goal. However, the evidence for the story is doubtful. In 1845, the first football laws were written by Rugby School pupils; other significant events in the early development of rugby include the Blackheath Club's decision to leave the Football Association in 1863 and the split between rugby union and rugby league in 1895.

Historically an amateur sport, in 1995 the International Rugby Board (IRB) removed restrictions on payments to players, making the game openly professional at the highest level for the first time. The IRB has been the governing body for rugby union since its formation in 1886. The spread of rugby union grew from the Home Nations of Great Britain and Ireland, and was absorbed by many of the countries associated with the British Empire.

Early exponents of the sport included Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Countries that have adopted rugby union as their de facto national sport include Fiji, Georgia, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga and Wales. Rugby union is played in over 100 countries across six continents and as of November 2010 118 unions were members of the IRB.

The Rugby World Cup, first held in 1987, takes place every four years, with the winner of the tournament receiving the Webb Ellis Cup. The Six Nations Championship in Europe and The Rugby Championship in the Southern Hemisphere (the latter replacing the Tri Nations) are major international competitions held annually. Major domestic competitions include the Top 14 in France, the English Premiership in England, the Currie Cup in South Africa, and the ITM Cup in New Zealand.

Other transnational competitions include the Celtic League, originally involving Irish, Scottish and Welsh teams and now Italian teams as well; Super Rugby (previously Super 12 and Super 14), involving South African, Australian and New Zealand teams; and the Heineken Cup, involving the top European teams from their respective domestic competitions.

In rugby union, the International Rugby Board the size and shape of the ball under Law 2(also known as Law E.R.B); an official rugby union ball is oval and made of four panels, has a length in-line of 280–300 millimetres, a circumference (end to end) of 740–770 millimetres, and a circumference (in width) of 580–620 millimetres. It is made of leather or suitable synthetic material, and may be treated to make it water resistant and easier to grip. The rugby ball may not weigh more than 460 grams or less than 410 and has an air pressure of 65.71–68.75 kilopascals, or 0.67–0.70 kilograms per square centimetre, or 9.5–10.0 lbs per square inch. Spare balls are allowed under the condition that players or teams do not seek an advantage by changing the ball. Smaller sized balls may also be used in games between younger players. Much larger versions of traditional balls are also available for purchase, but these are mainly for their novelty attraction.
