Gallup Poll Indicates 57 Percent Of Americans Disapprove Of The Job Barack Obama Is Doing As President

Bad News For Obama In The Upcoming Election

Barack Obama

The job performance numbers of U.S. President Barack Obama are down again, currently sitting at 43 percent, according to Gallup. This spells a 57 percent disapproval rating. Obama has suffered a number of scandals and setbacks during his presidency, threatening to topple his reelection bid this winter.

President Obama has lost control of his cabinet, with certain members of his government, such as Attorney General, Eric Holder and FBI Director, Robert S. Mueller, bringing his administration an enormous amount of shame and public ridicule, via their criminal misconduct, as seen in congressional hearings. These decisions and detrimental disclosures have greatly damaged his image among voters.

While the two men earn about equal "very good" ratings, 22% of voters think Obama would do a "very poor" job, more than twice as many as say the same about Romney (10%).

The public has witnessed too much chaos and trouble from his presidency in matters he has let get out of control.

Mitt Romney

The economy continues to be President Obama's Achilles heel. Fellow Democrat and former President Bill Clinton, offered Obama financial advice when he entered office, but he did not heed most of what was communicated to him, opting to take a more economically risky path that has not paid off. Romney is using the bad state of the economy to campaign against Obama, while promoting his business background as an alternative to the incumbent's failed financial policies.
