Movie Review - Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale

Title: Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale

Year Of Release: 2010

Review Date: June 30, 2012

Rating: PG

Running time: 90 minutes

Box Office Gross: NA

Site Rating: 1 out of 10 stars

"Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale" stars Ashlee Hewitt as Elle Daniels, dreaming of being a pop star, while working at a terrible record company, filled with vapid artists. Daniels vies for the attention of a famous Justin Bieber like pop star named Ty Parker and through a misunderstanding ends up lying about her identity, in order to impress him.

Elle is forced to expose a mean group of jealous singers and a covetous female solo artist, intent on working with Parker at all costs. While mildly entertaining, "Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale" is derivative and not just because it is based on the story book.

A Movie Is Being Made About The Phone Hacking Scandal But Doubts Linger Over Who Should Play Rupert Murdoch

Rupert Murdoch

According to the London Evening Standard, a film is being made about the Leveson hearings, into the phone hacking scandal that has engulfed the lawbreaking Murdoch family and its company News Corp. The film will be based on the book "Good Times, Bad Times" by Sunday Times editor Sir Harold Evans.

Russell Crowe my butt

Australian actor, Russell Crowe, has been suggested for the role of media maggot, Rupert Murdoch, which is laughable. Crowe is good looking, so that automatically disqualifies him from the role. I'll tell you who should play Murdoch - Satan, that's who. Only the devil could do that kind of evil role justice.

AFRICAN AMERICAN SHORT'S MULATTO SAGA

 Julliette Fairley

The Kartel Company is pleased to announce the short film version of Mulatto Saga is the newest client to sign to the PR company’s growing roster. The controversial stage play, which focused on the bi-racial experience in America, is now a 7-minute film that Juliette Fairley also wrote and directed.

With the arrival of Barack Obama’s presidency, interracial relationships are at the forefront of popular culture, according to a 2012 Pew Study, which found that the acceptance of interracial marriages by American society is at an all-time high.

Director and Actress Juliette Fairley notes:

“Times have changed. When I was growing up with a black father and white mother in Texas 20 years ago, my family was often stared at, judged and shunned,”

Syndicated nationally on rotation on NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX and the CW TV networks, Mulatto Saga will air as part of an African American Short Films showcase from August 4th, 2012 thru September 30th, 2012. The schedule, including broadcast time and TV stations, will post one week before the first air date on August 4th, 2012 at www.badamitv.com/nowplaying.php, coincidentally the birth date of current American president Barack Obama who is also bi-racial.

Injured Transformers Movie Extra Can't Enjoy The $18,500,000 Settlement Due To Brain Injury

Michael Bay

Gabriella Cedillo has been awarded a $18,500,000 settlement, after sustaining a terrible, traumatic brain injury, on the set of the "Transformers 3" film, directed by Michael Bay. The film series has suffered a series of mishaps and injuries, but Cedillo's is the worst thus far.

Gabriella Cedillo

It is sad that Cedillo is now in diminished state. What good is the money going to do her, but at least it will mean she will receive the best medical care in California. In closing, Michael Bay's stunts are too dangerous. The star of the film series, Shia LaBeouf and his former co-star, Megan Fox, publicly complained of minor injuries they sustained on his film sets. If Bay is not careful, he is going to kill someone one day.
