"Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale" stars Ashlee Hewitt as Elle Daniels, dreaming of being a pop star, while working at a terrible record company, filled with vapid artists. Daniels vies for the attention of a famous Justin Bieber like pop star named Ty Parker and through a misunderstanding ends up lying about her identity, in order to impress him. 

Elle is forced to expose a mean group of jealous singers and a covetous female solo artist, intent on working with Parker at all costs. While mildly entertaining, "Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale" is derivative and not just because it is based on the story book.
