FUEL TO PLAY HOUSE OF BLUES ATLANTIC CITY

Showboat In Atlantic City

Popular rock band Fuel will play the Party Pit at the House of Blues at Showboat Saturday, July 7th. Lead by original singer Brett Scallions, the band will play a free, open-to-the-public show at Showboat’s rock and roll gaming area.

“Fourth of July weekend will be huge this year with Jamie Foxx and Pauly D at the Pool After Dark, Mary J Blige at Caesars, Papa Roach and Disco Biscuits at House of Blues, and Fuel at the Party Pit ,” said Jason Spencer, Regional Director of Entertainment for Caesars Entertainment. “Regardless of your style, there is an event for you this Fourth of July.”

Since they burst onto the scene with their 1998 full-length debut Sunburn, Fuel has been a staple on rock radio regardless of the ebb and flow of ephemeral musical trends. After the massive success of “Shimmer,” Fuel released 2000’s Something Like Human, which featured the hit singles “Innocent” and “Hemorrhage (In My Hands)” and achieved double platinum status. After 3 years filled with touring, Fuel released 2003’s Natural Selection, which featured the hit “Falls On Me.”

“There’s been a lot of turmoil within the band over the past few years and a lot of that is reflected in these songs,” says guitarist and chief songwriter Carl Bell. “When change happens it brings out the best and the worst in people, and I’d like to think that for us it was mostly the best.”

2011 found Fuel changing again with original lead vocalist Brett Scallions coming back to the fold. A new decade brings about a new beginning for the band, as they have enlisted Guitarist Andy Andersson, Bassist Brad Stewart of Shinedown, and Drummer Ken Schalk of Candiria to accompany Scallions on the 2011 Tour.

The performance is free and open to the public and Showboat Atlantic City urges fans looking to view the concert up close to come early, as reservations are not accepted.

The House of Blues Party Pit, Showboat Atlantic City’s high-energy gaming and entertainment venue, consistently hosting some of the hottest cover bands and DJ’s in the region, as well as the 2012 Bombshell Calendar Girls. Since 2010 The House of Blues Casino Party Pit has been challenging other venues and electrifying audiences by providing music-lovers with free concerts preformed by chart topping artists. Bands like the Filter, Tonic, Trapt, Lit and the notorious Tommy Lee have all graced the stage and delivered priceless performances making it the one of region’s premier venues for live music.

Not able to speak a word of English, a precocious 9-year old boy named Paco, the only one in his town who knows Spanish, becomes his translator. Rewriting Ernesto’s mysterious and questionable past, Paco turns him into a hero and a celebrity, motivating the entire town to rally behind Ernesto to help rebuild his plane. When a seedy Colombian detective arrives and threatens to reveal a dark secret about Ernesto, the town begins to question who they can trust. Everyone seems to know what’s best for Janice, but Tim helps her find her own voice and realize that it only takes one person to make you feel important. RUSSELL BRAND AT BORGATA HOTEL & CASINO

Russell Brand

Saturday night Russell Brand put on a hilarious show at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, calling sex-hotlines using an audience member’s phone, trashing members of the audience who made crude comments (one even calling out “Katy Perry”). At one point Russell even had to tell an audience member in the front row to “shut-up” as he was trying to put on a performance. He couldn’t seem to get a word in edge-wise with this very enthusiastic crowd. As he walked through the audience, Russell hugged fans and even took gifts from an audience member who gave him a bag including books and a banana, which Russell pointed out was a bizarre gift to give.

TERRY FATOR RETURNS TO TRUMP TAJ MAHAL

Terry Fator

Trump Taj Mahal announced the return of Terry Fator to the Mark G Etess Arena on Saturday, April 21, 2012. Show time is 8pm, with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets, priced at $45 and $29, will go on sale Sunday, February 26 at Noon. Tickets can be obtained by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-736-1420, or visiting on line at www.ticketmaster.com.

Best known for his victory on “America’s Got Talent,” Terry Fator captured the hearts and tickled the funny bones of America in 2007 with his unique combination of celebrity impressions and unparalleled ventriloquism.
After winning America’s Got Talent, Fator went from small-town appearances to “The Today Show,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and, at long last, “The Late Show with David Letterman.” Finally in 2008, his biggest dream was realized when he signed a multi-year contract to perform in his very own theater at the legendary Las Vegas resort, The Mirage.

In December 2008, Fator released “Who’s the Dummy Now?,” a candid autobiography chronicling his story and his “overnight” success.

March 2011 marked Fator’s two year anniversary as a successful headliner on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. From the anniversary emerged his newest character, the fabulously happy Berry Fabulous, a former lawyer turned entertainer. Berry joins a cast that includes Winston The Impersonating Turtle, cowboy Walter T. Airdale, Hyphen, Julius, Emma Taylor, Duggie Scott Walker, Vikki “The Cougar” and Wrex the crash test dummy. Each character allows Fator to sing a different genre in an unbelievable manner with performances ranging from Gnarls Barkley, Black Sabbath and Garth Brooks to Cher, Etta James and Guns N’ Roses – Terry Fator does it all without moving his lips.

CLUTCH AND HELLYEAH AT HOUSE OF BLUES

****
CLUTCH AND HELLYEAH CO-HEADLINING NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

April 14th in Atlantic City, NJ @ House of Blues
****

House Of Blues Atlantic City

Maryland rockers CLUTCH are teaming up with HELLYEAH for a North American Co-Headlining Tour this Spring. Both bands will play full headlining sets. The tour kicks off April 13th in Providence, RI and runs through May 11th in Joliet, IL. Throughout the tour there will also be dates that feature Clutch only and Hellyeah only as well as radio festivals and shows.

Hard rock supergroup HELLYEAH is touring in support of their new album Band of Brothers which is scheduled for a June 5th release in North America. The album, the band’s first effort for their new label home, Eleven Seven Music, was recorded in Dallas at drummer Vinnie Paul’s home studio, VP’s Upstairs Studio, and was produced by the band and Jeremy Parker (Godsmack, Evanessence), who also served as engineer.

Having produced track after track of heavy-hitting, in-your-face, feel good rock and roll on their previous two albums (2010’s STAMPEDE and 2007’s self-titled debut), Band of Brothers sees HELLYEAH taking a slightly different musical direction. Drawing on their former bands’ collective metal roots for inspiration, the influences and style of Mudvayne, Pantera, Damageplan and Nothingface are immediately recognizable.

CLUTCH is hitting the road in support of their double vinyl edition of Blast Tyrant which is being released February 28th via Weathermaker Music. This 180+ gram expanded vinyl contains 16 songs and includes six mini-posters taken straight from Blast Tyrant’s "Atlas of the Invisible World". Each illustrated poster is sized (8.5" x 11") and depicts one of the various characters featured within the Blast Tyrant storyline. Prior to February 28th, the double vinyl edition of Blast Tyrant is exclusively available via www.Clutchmerch.com. CLUTCH will also be releasing a picture disc single of the new track “Pigtown Blues” on April 24th. This is the first new studio material from CLUTCH since 2009’s Strange Cousins From the West.

CLUTCH will also be returning to Europe this festival season. The band has been confirmed for the Sonisphere Festival in Madrid Spain on May 26th and the Peace and Love Festival in Borlänge, Sweden on June 29th. Additional festival appearances are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

In other CLUTCH news, the band’s music will be featured in the soon to be released film "The Baytown Disco" starring Andre Braugher, Billy Bob Thornton, and Eva Longoria. A six minute preview of the film can, featuring CLUTCH music can be viewed HERE. And for all you hockey fans, CLUTCH’s "Electric Worry" is still the goal music for the Vancouver Canucks.

“This tour has literally been years in the making. Historically, my mixtapes have served as a creative outlet for me to serve my fans without the pressure of creating records solely for sales, so this is no ordinary tour. Every sound, every emotion that I ever expressed through my music you will get every single night. No one will leave this show untouched,” said Trey Songz. “I wanted someone fresh and with a different sound who is also a leader and force in their own right on this tour with me, and Big Sean was the immediate frontrunner. He adds personality that has never been seen before to the tour, so I am excited, to say the least.” Big Sean added, “"Me and Trey are two people who came from different places with the same intention. To change the world and help lead a generation through entertainment. You'll see the passion we put into our show every night, and that's what will make us great".

Trey is embarking on this tour in support of his critically acclaimed mixtape series, “ANTICIPATION” and “ANTICIPATION 2,” which have been collectively downloaded an astonishing 1 million times. This is all in the wake of Songz proclaiming November of 2011 Angels with Heart Month, his benefit show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City and the release of his EP titled, INEVITABLE.

About Trey Songz

Trey is unquestionably one of the most sought after entertainers in the industry. His music and movement characterize the collective voice and thoughts of his generation. He effortlessly displays vocal dexterity while relaying complex emotional depth and power. Though his repertoire of work, he has been able to differentiate himself from his peers, putting him in a class of his own.
Trey’s debut album, “I GOTTA MAKE IT,” was released in 2005, followed by “TREY DAY” in 2007 and “READY” in 2009. "PASSION, PAIN & PLEASURE" was Trey’s follow up to the RIAA gold certified smash, "READY.” From the bouncy first single, "Bottoms Up (Feat. Nicki Minaj)” to the chart-topping, record breaking #1 Hip Hop and R&B single, “Can’t Be Friends,” "PASSION, PAIN & PLEASURE" was Certified Gold, with over 4 million album tracks sold. The success of "PASSION, PAIN & PLEASURE" laid the groundwork for Trey’s highly anticipated new CD “CHAPTER V.” CHAPTER V” saw the Virginia-based R&B superstar energized and evolving as he continued to refine his mastery of sultry, soulful song craft.

An assortment of major awards followed, including the prestigious title of "Best Male R&B Artist” at the 2010 BET Awards. That triumph capped an extraordinary year that included touring as both headliner and special guest on Jay-Z’s massive "BP3 Tour 2010,” numerous TV appearances, and star-studded recording sessions like Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones’ new version of "We Are The World,” benefiting Haitian earthquake relief organizations. All that and more was documented in Trey’s hugely popular docu-series, “My Moment.” An unqualified ratings sensation, the 10-part BET documentary provided an exclusive window into Trey’s life and career, chronicling everything up to and including the making of the new album.

About Big Sean

Big Sean met Kanye West after a radio interview in 2005 and got a chance to display his talent by freestyling for West. After months of submitting songs and numerous meetings, Sean finally got the call from Kanye West himself saying that he wanted to sign him. Big Sean officially signed to G.O.O.D Music in 2007 and Island Def Jam in 2008. Sean has three mixtapes under his belt, “Finally Famous – The Mixtape”, “UKNOWBIGSEAN – Finally Famous Vol. 2” and “Finally Famous Vol. 3: BIG”. Sean’s hit single “Getcha Some” vastly took over the internet and created major buzz for him and quickly solidified him as a breakout star. The single first debuted on Kanye West’s “Can’t Tell Me Nothin’ Mixtape”.

Big Sean released his debut album entitled Finally Famous in June of this year. The album features gold and platinum smashes as “My Last,” “Marvin & Chardonay” and the infectious “ASS.” Soon after its release, Sean’s collaboration with Chris Brown, “My Last” and “Marvin & Chardonay” Feat. Kanye West reached number 1 on the Billboard Hip Hop charts. Currently, his new single, “Dance” with Nicki Minaj is blazing the charts.

Jackie Evancho

AEG Live presents Jackie Evancho's "Heavenly Christmas" in the Arena at Trump Taj Mahal on Saturday, December 17, 2011. Show time is at 7:30pm, doors will open one hour prior. Tickets, priced at $95, $75 & $45*, can be obtained by either calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-736-1420, on line at www.ticketmaster.com or in person at the Taj Box Office starting 10am on November 14.

When Jackie Evancho submitted a video to YouTube to compete for a slot on “America’s Got Talent,” she could never have predicted that a little push of the “send” button would eventually send her to the top of the entertainment industry. Remarkably, Jackie was 10 years old at the time, but her long-held desire to perform -- sparked after seeing the film version of “The Phantom of the Opera” – convinced her parents to let her take a chance at stardom. And Jackie has shown everyone that she has the brilliant talent needed to succeed.

In less than 18 months, Jackie’s unique, gorgeous soprano has won her millions of fans and her recordings have dominated the music and DVD charts. Her warmth, charm and poise have helped her gain the support of legendary music producers like David Foster, and now, movie producers like Redford.
Since appearing on “America’s Got Talent” Jackie has recorded one EP (O Holy Night) and two full-length albums (Heavenly Christmas and Dream With Me), all of which raced to the top of the Billboard charts.

When O Holy Night, which was Jackie’s major label debut, was released in Nov. 2010, it became the year's #1 best-selling debut recording with sales exceeding 1 million copies. In addition to its pop chart success, O Holy Night reached #1 on the Billboard Classical Chart and #2 on the Billboard Holiday chart.

In June 2011, Dream With Me, her first studio album was released. A mix of operatic arias, show tunes and pop standards, it debuted on the Billboard Top 200 chart at #2 and was certified Gold after only four weeks of release.

In the summer of 2011, she sold out concert halls around the country during a tour that culminated with a show at home in Pittsburgh and later at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Her most recent effort, Heavenly Christmas, a full-length holiday album, was released in November 2011.

UF2 TO PLAY TROPICANA IN ATLANTIC CITY

UF2

Even better than the real thing? Tropicana Casino & Resort invites you to be the judge as U2 tribute band "The Unforgettable Fire – UF2," The Best U2 Tribute Band and opening acoustical special guest, Cailin Callahan, light up the Grand Exhibition Center starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2011.

The Unforgettable Fire, or "UF2", was born on New Year’s Day in 1995 as one of the very first U2 tribute bands to ever perform in America. After more than sixteen years of playing in some of the most prestigious venues on the East Coast, UF2 has formed a reputation among many to be one of the closest experiences to being at an actual live U2 show.

"If you missed the live U2 Tour this summer, you can still enjoy the experience of their music through The Unforgettable Fire's authentic sound and stage presence," commented Tony Rodio, President and CEO of Tropicana Atlantic City.

The members of UF2 are dedicated fans of U2, and will not settle for anything less than complete authenticity. In addition to performing a very impressive array of U2 material from pre-Boy to the most recent No Line On the Horizon, the band does everything in their power -- from wardrobe to lighting -- to recreate the live U2 concert setting for their audiences. For more information visit here:

This event is standing room only with no seating. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets are on sale at the Tropicana Box Office or through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

Many told us they were not ready to see it end on Labor Day Weekend," said Tony Rodio, Tropicana’s president and chief executive officer. BOXING RETURNS AGAIN TO ATLANTIC CITY

The Tropicana

On Saturday, August 27th, Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing returns to the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, with an exciting six bout card, featuring the always exciting heavyweight fan-favorite, Vinny Maddalone (33-7, 24KO’s) and Atlantic City’s own, Shamone “The Truth” Alvarez (21-4, 12KO’s) in separate bouts.

“We are really looking forward to returning to the Tropicana, and putting together another great night of exciting fights,” stated Joe DeGuardia, CEO and President of Star Boxing. “The Tropicana has such a great venue for boxing, and the atmosphere in the Casino, especially during the summer-time is just so electric. When you combine that electricity with the fireworks that Vinny and Shamone are sure to produce, you just know you are in for one exciting night of entertainment.”

Maddalone, a major attraction on the east coast, due to his never say die, warrior-like style, last fought at the Tropicana in March of last year, when he handed out a vicious beating to Dominque Alexander, dropping his opponent multiple times, before eventually scoring a 5th round TKO. Never in a dull fight, Maddalone has fought some of the top names in the Heavyweight division, including former undisputed heavyweight champion, Evander Holyfield and current top ten contenders, Tomasz Adamek, Dennis Boytsov and Jean-Marc Mormeck. Maddalone is scheduled to square off against “Dangerous” Damon Reed (46-16, 32KO’s) in a ten round heavyweight showdown.

The former, WBO NABO welterweight champion Alvarez also was in action at the Tropicana at the Star Boxing promoted show in March of last year. In his fight, Alvarez scored a brutal one-punch knockout over Alexis Camacho. Alvarez is set to meet the always tough and game Chris “Kid Kayo” Fernandez (19-13-1, 12KO’s) in an eight round welterweight match-up. Fernandez has been in with former world champions, Devon Alexander and Paulie Malignaggi.

All the action takes place in the Tropicana Showroom. Doors open at 7 p.m., with preliminaries beginning at 7:30 p.m. and the first bout starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are priced at $30, $50, $100 and $200 and are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Tickets will also be available at the Tropicana Box Office, subject to availability.

TOTAL BAD BEAT JACKPOT WIN AT CAESARS

Caesars Atlantic City

Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City just announced that at 6:58 p.m. on Friday, April, 29th its Total Bad Beat Jackpot of $197,227 hit at Harrah’s Atlantic City. In addition to the two players that participated in the hand, 245 fellow poker players at Bally’s, Caesars and Showboat each received a payout of $400 as part of the pooled jackpot.

"With three Bad Beat Jackpots all hitting within the last month, our poker rooms at the four properties deliver a level of excitement that is unmatched here in Atlantic City," said John Smith, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah's Atlantic City. "We would like to congratulate the loser and winner of the hand, as well as the additional 245 people playing at our poker rooms during the time of the hit."

Will Bullock, of Connecticut, thought he had the winning hand when he laid out his 10-high-straight-flush, only to experience a bad beat when Michael Young, of Pennsylvania, flashed his queen-high-straight-flush and the win. The losing hand earned Will $59,568, while Michael added $39,845 to his wallet. The Total Bad Beat Jackpot was immediately reset to $100,000.

On Tuesday, August 24, 2010, Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City introduced the City’s first-ever multi-casino Texas Hold’em Poker Room Bad Beat Jackpot initiative, and a starting jackpot of $524,045. Poker Room Bad Beat Jackpots at Harrah’s Resort, Caesars, Bally’s and Showboat now reflect one “Pooled” jackpot up for grabs.

The Bad Beat Jackpot is a prize that is paid when a sufficiently strong hand is shown down and loses to an even stronger hand held by another player. The Bad Beat Jackpot is progressive, with $1.00 taken out of each pot to fund the jackpot (in addition to the regular rake). When a jackpot is won, it will be split among all players sitting at a Bad Beat eligible table and in all of the Caesars Total Reward Poker rooms in Atlantic City at the time of the bad beat with the losing hand getting the largest share. On the heels of this Total Bad Beat Jackpot win, Caesars Entertainment immediately administered the reset jackpot at $100,000.

Payouts of the Total Bad Beat Jackpot are as follows:
· 30% of the jackpot will be awarded to the Bad Beat hand (losing player);
· 20% of the jackpot will be awarded to the winner of the hand;
· The remainder of the jackpot will be awarded equally divided as shares among all of the seated players on any Bad Beat Jackpot eligible game at all four (4) linked properties. The players mentioned above will also get a share in addition to the prize listed. All winners will receive a minimum of $100.00.

The minimum losing Bad Beat Hand will start at four (4) queens and each week, on Wednesday, the required hand will be lowered by one (1) four of a kind ranking hand until the required hand is four (4) deuces. When the jackpot is hit the required hand will revert back to four (4) queens and reset the next Wednesday. Example: if the jackpot is hit on a Monday the 4 Queens would only be in effect for 2 days.
