Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City and the renowned Tribeca Film Festival are bringing cinema back to the shore with the return of the Tribeca Cinema Series from Thursday, July 12th through Sunday, July 15th. The event, taking place at Caesars beachfront, will screen a curated selection of independent films featuring performances from noted actors including Jenna Fischer, Martin Sheen, and Demián Bichir. All of the screenings are free and open to the public.

The Tribeca Cinema Series will redefine what it means to go to the movies with this alternative and exciting seaside event. Guests can enjoy themselves as the sun sets on the beaches of Atlantic City to watch acclaimed independent films on a 33 feet long by 20 feet tall screen.

The films slated for the event include “The Giant Mechanical Man,” directed and written by Lee Kirk; “The Runway,” directed and written by Ian Power; “388 Arletta Avenue,” directed and written by Randall Cole; and “Stella Days,” directed by Thaddeus O'Sullivan and written by Antoine O'Flatharta. All screenings will begin at sundown and will be held on the Caesars property beach at Arkansas Ave.

“We are thrilled to work with the Tribeca Film Festival once again and bring back the Tribeca Cinema Series to Caesars Atlantic City,” said Don Marrandino, Eastern Division President for Caesars Entertainment. “Each year, the event provides visitors and residents with an incredible opportunity to enjoy celebrated films in a picturesque seaside setting and enforces why Caesars Atlantic City is a leader in providing exceptional entertainment options.”

While in town, film-goers can visit Sammy Hagar’s Beach Bar to enjoy cocktails and delicious food such as Spicy Jersey Shore Fries, Sea Salt Spiced Peel & Eat Shrimp and Wabo Wings and Burgers. In addition, specialty popcorn will be available throughout the series in a variety of appealing flavors, including Cajun, parmesan, chocolate drizzle, and caramel almond. Those looking for weekend-long entertainment can also take advantage of Caesars’ accommodations, and spend a few days enjoying the full range of entertainment and nightlife options the resort has to offer, from dancing all night at Dusk nightclub to the total tranquility offered by Qua Baths & Spa.

“We are proud to once again partner with Caesars Atlantic City to bring a wide range of independent films to this wonderful beachside setting,” said Patty Newburger, SVP, Tribeca Enterprises. “We hope to continue this incredible partnership for years to come.”

The following outlines the Tribeca Cinema Series slate

The Runway

Synopsis: In this charming comedy, Oscar-nominee Demián Bichir (A BETTER LIFE, “Weeds”) stars as Ernesto, a Colombian pilot whose plane has crashed in a small Irish village. Not able to speak a word of English, a precocious 9-year old boy named Paco, the only one in his town who knows Spanish, becomes his translator. Rewriting Ernesto’s mysterious and questionable past, Paco turns him into a hero and a celebrity, motivating the entire town to rally behind Ernesto to help rebuild his plane. When a seedy Colombian detective arrives and threatens to reveal a dark secret about Ernesto, the town begins to question who they can trust. Inspired by true events, THE RUNWAY tells the story of a boy needing a father, a man wanting a family, and a town willing to do anything for a hero.

Cast: Martin Sheen, Stephen Rea, Tristan Gravelle, Marcella Plunkett, Joseph O'Sullivan, Tom Hickey, Derble Crotty, Amy Huberman, Ruth McCabe

Synopsis: A small town cinema in rural Ireland in the 1950s becomes the setting for a dramatic struggle between Rome and Hollywood, and a man and his conscience. Martin Sheen (THE WAY, THE DEPARTED, “The West Wing”) stars as Father Daniel Berry in a story about the excitement of the unknown versus the security of the familiar, as those in the town find themselves on the cusp of the modern but still clinging to the traditions of church and a cultural identity forged in very different times.

The Giant Mechanical Man

Date: Saturday, July 14, 2012

Director: Lee Kirk

Screenwriter: Lee Kirk

Cast: Jenna Fischer, Chris Messina, Topher Grace, Malin Akerman, Rich Sommer, Lucy Punch, Bob Odenkirk

Evicted from her apartment and forced to move in with her overbearing sister (Malin Akerman), Janice is on the receiving end of well-intentioned but misguided pressure to date an egotistical self-help guru (Topher Grace). Everyone seems to know what’s best for Janice, but Tim helps her find her own voice and realize that it only takes one person to make you feel important. As a symbol of the urge to break free from a life defined for us, The Giant Mechanical Man brings forward an optimism and feeling of belonging that can only come from falling in love.

Director: Randall Cole

Cast: Nick Stahl, Devon Sawa, Mia Kirshner

Synopsis: In this fresh, subversive take on the found-footage horror genre from the makers of SPLICE and CUBE, a faceless voyeur’s twisted manipulation of a young couple escalates into a deadly cat-and-mouse game, as seen from the perspective of hidden cameras he’s concealed throughout their house.

Miami Hotels Reject Chad Ochocinco And Evelyn Lozada's Wedding Fearing Fist Fights

Evelyn Lozada and Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson

NFL football player, Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson and his fiancée, "Basketball Wives" star, Evelyn Lozada, are having a difficult time booking a venue for their forthcoming nuptials. Their reputation and that of the show has proceeded them, as the phrase goes. Many luxury hotels are rejecting their bookings.

"Love And Hip Hop" is one of the most violent reality shows on television

According to TMZ, the St. Regis, The Ritz and Breakers in South Florida told the contentious couple they are not welcome at their establishments, for fear of fist fights breaking out. They do not want reality show shenanigans and gimmicks to tarnish their brands. It should serve as a wake up call regarding how violent reality stars like Lozada and her costar, Tami Roman, are viewed in the business world. Let's not even talk about "Love And Hip Hop"...

Why Does John Travolta Think Massages Are Prostate Exams

Scientology actor John Travolta has run afoul of masseurs in numerous cities in America

Why does Scientology actor, John Travolta, think massages are prostate exams. Several male masseurs are stating he completely disrobed when he didn't have to and kept lunging his male parts at them or his butt in the air in a overtly sexual and gay manner. Straight and gay masseurs reacted in horror.

However, according to one report, one gay masseur went along with it, with Travolta offering him thousands of dollars in compensation for sex, which is illegal in America. Police have shutdown businesses for such illegal conduct, but it seemed to be the doing of the masseur and not the hotel.

Justin Bieber Is No Longer A Virgin

Pop star Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez

18-year-old pop singer, Justin Bieber, is no longer a virgin (*girls on Twitter scream in horror*). The pop star vowed to wait for marriage to have sex, in a statement that was worded in a way indicating double speech. However, it is clear from the fact, he has been checking into hotels with actress, Selena Gomez, 19, which has progressed to him living with her, that the two are engaging in sex.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez

Nonetheless, his impressionable fans will be shocked. Recently, Bieber did an interview with GQ magazine full of profanity and crude sexual talk. An interview recently characterized previously squeaky clean Bieber as "Gathering around his new toy, Bieber seems 'euphoric' and so excited that he pledges his loyalty to West Coast Customs and dismisses its rival, Platinum Motorsport. 'F*** Platinum,' he said. 'Platinum can s**k a d**k, man. West Coast all day.'" If he wants to show he is an adult, he should do so through proper music, not profane statements and acts.

Secret Service Prostitution Scandal Expanding As More People Are Investigated

More People Are Under Investigation

The Secret Service prostitution scandal has widened to incorporate members of the military, as it was announced an investigation is being done, into the conduct of individuals that protected President Obama in Colombia this past week. A dozen Secret Service agents and several members of the military are implicated in the scandal.

President Barack Obama in Cartagena, Colombia

It is being reported, sensitive documents, such as the president's schedule, were present in the hotel rooms that Secret Service agents engaged in promiscuous sex and heavy drinking with prostitutes, during Obama's Colombia visit for the Summit of the Americas. Political pundits and authors have stated it placed the president at risk. It is not likely that was their intention, but some decisions have unintended consequences.
