TRATTORIA CASA DI ISACCO
New York’s Hidden Gem
****
A hidden gem located in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, Trattoria Casa di Isacco blends the life-long passions of its owner, Isaac Elvis: fresh food and good music. Born in the Canary Islands, Isaac spent sunny afternoons on the virgin beaches of Caleton learning to catch oysters and to love the taste of fresh seafood caught by his own hands. He also developed an insatiable appetite for music and a fanaticism of Elvis Presley, someone he idolized (hence his name) and would eventually endeavor to meet. Following culinary classes in Geneva, learning to be a chef, maitre d’, and Sommelier, Isaac found himself working in some of the best restaurants in the world. He started his own cabaret, Palmas de Mallorca, and then multiple nightclubs in and around Mallorca, which let him perfect his restaurant skills. Intense desire and destiny finally called him to America where he pursued his dream of meeting Elvis and performing in Las Vegas. He toured across the United States, performed at many of the same places Elvis had including venues in Las Vegas and at Madison Square Garden, and ultimately recorded over 1,000 songs.
Throughout his music career, he never lost track of his love for fine seafood and good wine. After the success of his first American restaurant, Mi Columbia Restaurant, Isaac continued his journey through several other establishments until establishing Trattoria Casa di Isacco, offering the freshest seafood, the most savory cuisine, original sangria, and the finest wines from Pedro’s Wine Collection, such as the 2004 Santa Ercilia Malbec, as presented by Director of Operations Ray Ankton—all available in a cozy home-away-from-home setting. At Trattoria Casa di Isacco, diners feast on the best Paella in New York (made from Isaac’s own recipe) while Elvis movies play on the wall. Tapas mark another diner favorite and the Gambas Ajillo is a unique specialty along with completely divine squid. Foodies will appreciate all of the original recipes in the beautiful atmosphere of Isaac’s latest and greatest restaurant, Casa di Isacco. He might even sing a song or two for you!
