The Georgi Girls With Petition

New York Senator Malcolm A. Smith joined Knicks and Nets fans and season ticket holders, as they request a full refund for the whole season due to the NBA Walkout. They also unveiled a 6 foot petition for over 1 million fans to sign in front of Madison Square Garden. A upcoming National Basketball Solidarity Day was announced that will take place in arenas and stadiums across the nation. That will be December 11, 2011.

Officials from the United Restaurant and Tavern Owners Association along with other New York City merchants and vendors, gave a news conference after losing over million dollars worth of revenue due to the cancellation of basketball games . The Association represents over 3,000 bars and restaurants in the tri-state area.

O'Hurley's own, Paul Hurley along with Paddy McCarthy spoke on how the walkout has affected business. They said sales are way down. Martin Silver, owner of Georgi Vodka, and also a season ticket holder, said the walkout is also hurting his sales, because the restaurants and taverns order less Georgi Vodka, due to the business loss. When Silver was asked how much his two season tickets cost, he replied 40 thousand dollars. When New York Senator Malcolm Smith was asked if he had season tickets, he replied, "I Can't afford them".

RUM OR GEORGI VODKA FOR CARIBAYA QUEEN

Caribaya Queen

You can lead a horse to rum, but you can't make her drink.... but if she does she can win! So says Michael Borchetta, the legendary country music promoter and executive who helped launch the career of Tim McGraw and other best-selling artists.

Borchetta, partnered with Star Industries President Martin Silver, owns the horse Caribaya Queen, named for Caribaya Rum because it liked the taste of the popular New York-based rum infused in its diet. When the horse recently won her first race in Canada, Borchetta flew up to New York to meet Silver to celebrate at the famed Friars Club. The horse was also the talk of the recent Country Music Awards in Nashville.

The O'Hurley Georgi Vodka Turkey

Paul Hurley With Martin Silver

New York City restaurateur Paul Hurley and vodka mogul Martin Silver, CEO of Star Industries, held a press conference today, to unveil a prototype of the nation’s only 100-proof turkey. The turkey, a modern spin on a traditional Irish recipe, takes three days to prepare and is infused with five different flavors of vodka: peach, cherry, orange, lemon and apple. The gravy contains 100-proof vodka. These vodka-soaked turkeys will be made available all over the Tri-State Area, and the recipe will be posted in liquor stores across the nation to boost Thanksgiving sales of spirits. The press conference was held at one of Mr. Hurley's five New York City restaurants, PD O'Hurley's West End.

Last year, the 100-proof turkey was prepared at O'Casey's by Bryant Park on a trial basis and sold out. This year, the bird will be served at over 100 pubs and taverns in New York City.

Thanksgiving Eve is one of the busiest nights of the year for bars, with people getting a jump on celebrating the upcoming four-day weekend. In order to promote safety and well-being while having fun, Mr. Hurley is offering a free cab ride to anyone who orders the turkey.

In addition, we've just received word that Martin Silver is so outraged by the fraudulent Tea Party votes that pushed Bristol Palin into the "Dancing with the Stars" finale that he is urging bars that carry Georgi vodka to offer a free shot to any patron who supports one of Palin's opponents, Jennifer Grey or Kyle Massey. "The American way is for everyone to have an equal say," says Mr. Silver. "The Tea Party is doing just the opposite by stuffing the digital ballot box.”
